ComCo SEA Launches Write To Ignite Blogging Project
The “Write to Ignite Blogging Project”, ComCo Southeast Asia’s latest initiative co-presented by Eastern Communications and sponsored by Electrolux, Jobstreet, and Teleperformance, is a response to the need of our times, as every story comes a very long way during this period of crisis. An initiative open to bloggers in the Philippines, it aims to highlight the human spirit by encouraging them to share their reflections and personal plights during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Bloggers are invited to join the project by simply blogging about their experience and thoughts or realization about life amidst the crisis. To guide them in their writing, they may narrate their story by answering the following questions: (1) “How is your situation during the pandemic and quarantine?”; (2) “What are you doing to get through the situation?”; (3) “What has life taught you?”; and (4) “What makes you move forward?”
The entry must include this mandatory paragraph in the blog: This is a contribution to ComCo Southeast Asia’s “Write to Ignite Blogging Project”. The initiative is a response to the need of our times, as every story comes a long way during this period of crisis. Igniting and championing the human spirit, “Write to Ignite Blog Project” aims to pull and collate powerful stories from the Philippine blogging communities to inspire the nation to rise and move forward amidst the difficult situation. This project is made possible by ComCo Southeast Asia, co-presented Eastern Communications, and sponsored by Electrolux, Jobstreet, and Teleperformance.
Participating bloggers need to register their blog entry to Comco Southeast Asia at commandcenter@comco-hq.com with the following details: full name, e-mail address, contact number, and Title/URL of the blog entry. They may submit on or until June 20, 2020.
Criteria will be based on:
– Writing/Creativity 70%
– Use of Media (Photos/Videos/Music/Graphics) 25%
– Engagement (Positive Comments on the Blog) 5%
The announcement of winners will be on June 27, 2020.
Exciting prizes await for those who will be awarded winners of “Write to Ignite Blogging Project”. Prizes include:
| Grand Champion | ₱20,000 + Electrolux CompactGo Bagged Vacuum Cleaner |
| 1st Runner-up | ₱15,000 + Electrtolux CompactGo Bagged Vacuum Cleaner |
| 2nd Runner-up | ₱10,000 + Electrolux CompactGo Bagged Vacuum Cleaner |
Each of the top 3 winners will also win for a cause as part of their prize is the opportunity to donate ₱10,000 to any of the charitable institution or non-government organization (NGO) accredited by ComCo Southeast Asia. These are Humanility, PGH (Philippine General Hospital) Medical Foundation, and World Vision Philippines’ COVID-19 Emergency Response.
The top 20 finalists will be announced on June 20 and will also be invited to a special virtual awards night where the top 3 winners will be declared.
