Every aspiring blogger’s dream is to make their work online gain readers and followers. Sharing what they are passionate about, new bloggers are hoping to reach a good number of readership. However, as bloggers who just started out their luck, and with a mindset of hoping that they can be successful, there’s one thing that aspirants are having a dreadful thought: “How to begin to start blogging?”
If you are an aspiring blogger who wants to learn the basics of blogging, a blogging workshop for beginners, “Blogging for First-Timers (BFF) Workshop” will be held in Cebu City on a Saturday, July 29, 2017.
This is not just your ordinary workshop because the mentors who will handle the discussion are experienced bloggers themselves who have maintained a blog or blogs for several years. So, they know how blogging works, and thus, you are in good hands.
Blogging For First-Timers
The BFF Workshop aims to introduce aspiring bloggers the proper ways to start a blog, help them identify effective social media tools to grow their online presence and to equip aspiring bloggers with basic photography skills using their smartphones.
After all, blogging is no longer just about writing and publishing an article online. Social media and photography are both crucial elements of blogging too.
Here are the things you can expect to learn from the workshop:
How to Start a Blog (Speaker: Rome Nicolas of Basta Bisaya)
As most people would say, it’s easy to think of starting a blog, but putting it into action is difficult when you don’t have guidance from the experts. True, you can easily Google How to Start a Blog but this workshop is a hands-on application so you will know right there and then how you can start.
How to Establish your Online Presence (Speaker: Philip Andrew Mayol of Cebu Finest)
Blogging is never complete without an effective online presence. In today’s social media technology, you need to grow your audience or target market online using the right social media tools that will work for you and your readers.
Smartphone Photography for a Blog (Speaker: Katherine Annika Cutar of Nested Thoughts)
You probably already know by now how photos can speak a thousand words. With blogging, it’s important to not just include photos on your blog, but also to take good photos that can supplement the context of your blog posts. The good thing is, you don’t need a professional DSLR camera while you’re still starting to blog. Your smartphone can take great photos as long as you know how to take advantage of its features.
In addition, you will get to know more about the organizing group, the Cebu Content Creators, and learn what the objectives are. Carlo Andrew Olano of Kalami Cebu will discuss these matters.
