When Is The Right Time To Put In A Swimming Pool

Unfortunately, many of us realize too late, when summer is at its peak, that we want a pool at all! So if you’re unsure when to build the collection of your dreams, here’s some important information to know.

You Can Build Year-Round If You Need To

Although it may seem like there are strict dates and months where you have to work on a pool, that’s not the case! Regardless of how hot or cold out it is, you can still have a pool installed. What matters, and why people wait or save their collection for certain times of the year, is the longevity of their use in the warmer months and how hard it is to find contractors or installers during the warmer months. If you want a pool installed in the middle of the summer, you can do that! Just know that it will probably be more expensive and more of a wait than it would be otherwise.

The Perks Of Building In The Spring

Building in the spring is often the most popular choice. There are more contractors available than in the summer, you don’t have to worry about jumping right into winterizing your pool, and you have the chance to take your time with it. The average pool can take six to ten weeks to build, though, which means the construction can cut into the time you get to enjoy your pool and yard during the summer. This is a viable option, but it’s not the best one out of the three seasons besides summer.

The Perks of Building In The Fall

If you’re looking at St. Albert homes for sale, and you fall in love with one that has everything but a pool, you may think it’s okay to build one the moment you own the house. Unfortunately, this can be a big mistake! Building your pool in the fall invites the foliage that’s falling off of trees and bushes to end up in your new pool during and after construction. Although contractors are more available in the fall than the spring, and there’s less risk of snow on the ground, building in the fall can be a mess for everyone involved.

Why You Should Aim To Build In Winter

Building in the winter is the best timing you can have for your pool. By this time of the year, your leaves and foliage are out of the lawn, and you don’t have to worry about it cutting into your time in the swimming pool in the summer. On top of that, you also have the chance to find contractors for less money and create the pool of your dreams on your schedule. If it snows heavily in your area, winter timing maybe a little more difficult, but for the most part, this is the ideal timing.
