If the word “fanboying” does exist in a dictionary, that would probably be the most appropriate description of what I’m doing right now. As a fan of books, movies, theater and literature, and sports, I also have my own list of celebrities whom I idolize so much that I might have a gigantic poster of them or a standee in my room if given the opportunity.
Celebrities I Would Love To Meet In Person
And if I learn that they will be coming to my side of town, it can be possible that I will fix a camp outside the venue of their fan meeting and weep like those Justin Bieber fans who weren’t able to get VIP concert tickets because they were sold out.
Diogo Morgado
I have two valid reasons why Diogo Morgado is on my list of celebrities I want to meet: he is the most amazing actor who portrayed Jesus Christ (from the mini-series, “The Bible”; and movie, “Son of God”) and you look at his face. Come on! What more can I say?
The model-turned-actor from Portugal, Diogo Miguel Morgado Soares is, in my opinion, the living proof that there’s still faith in humanity. With his interview with TV host, Oprah Winfrey, during the mini-series promotion of “The Bible”, it was mentioned that Diogo asked the producer and director to finish the crucifixion scene in one take (which was completed in almost three days) since he wanted to have the real feels. Bless him.
From the Jesus Christ movies that I have seen in my lifetime, Diogo Morgado is the perfect “replica” and I am lucky to see him as the actor who played the role.
Emma Watson
We know her dearly as the girl who played Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films. As a fan of the movies myself, Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the most appropriate actress to be the curly lady from the Gryffindor House.
With no professional acting experience before getting the part in the Potter franchise, Emma auditioned eight times before getting the role. And yet, her Potter luck made it her first and longest acting career auditioning for a single role as the eight Harry Potter movies were completed ten years from the time the first movie was filmed.
After the Potter magic, Emma was a cast of the movies, like, “The Perks of being a Wallflower” with Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson movies), and the epic films “The Bling Ring”, and “Noah”.
Emma recently graduated college at Brown University finishing a major in English literature. Brilliant woman. I love her more already.
She is also playing the role “Belle” of the live-action movie inspired by the famous animated Disney film, “Beauty and the Beast.”
Jennifer Lawrence
She did obviously well at the movie, “The Silver Linings Playbook” with actor Bradley Cooper. With that, she bagged the Oscar’s Best Actress in a Leading Role making her a place with the tested-and-proven 3-time Oscar winner, Meryl Streep.
Aside from her Academy win, Jennifer also appeared in the X-Men movies as the blue lady, Mystique. And also stars as the protagonist Katniss Everdeen at The Hunger Games.
In spite her fall at the stage during her winning the Oscar trophy, Jennifer Shrader Lawrence, showed the true girl power on all the characters she portrayed in the movies.
She is also witty, hilarious and, of course, beautiful.
J.K. Rowling
The mother of the Harry Potter world, J.K. Rowling (Joanne Kathleen) opened my eyes to amazing literature. I got so addicted to her creation that I invested a lot during my younger years memorabilia and souvenir items of everything Harry Potter. I became an avid fan way back year 2002 when I first saw the second movie, “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” and that I can consider myself a hardcore Harry Potter fanboy.
She wrote seven Harry Potter books, and three others which were featured in the Harry Potter stories: “The Tales of Beedle the Bard”, “Quidditch Through The Ages”, and the upcoming movie where she got involved as the scriptwriter, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.” It is a story about Newt Scamander, a Magizoologist (who, in the Harry Potter story authored the mentioned book), based in old New York. It was set years before Harry Potter became famous (again, in the story).
Outside of Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling wrote an adult book, “The Casual Vacancy” and another book titled, “Cuckoo’s Calling”, which was not a success during its first few months in Amazon since it was published under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith. When the fans knew it was Rowling, it went straight to the top rank as a best-seller.
A continuation of the crime fiction story is set to be released soon, “The Silkworm,” with Cormoran Strike as the main character, a private investigator.
J.K. Rowling changed the trend of children’s literature and encourage the younger generation (and the young at heart) to love reading.

Leila Barros
The queen of women’s volleyball, Leila Barros is my celebrity, sports idol playing for Brazil. During the early years when I still play volleyball, I always watch ESPN’s World Volleyball Grand Prix when her team played against another country (particularly China, Russia, and Cuba). Leila was able to visit the Philippines to play volleyball which I envy a lot because I was not able to have the chance to see her live in action at the volleyball court.
When I was a varsity player for volleyball, I always hoped that I play like Leila Barros.
I watch her play on television for the 2000 Sydney Olympics and they won the bronze medal against Russia. I am a true Leila Barros fanboy. That’s for sure. And who can miss her with that boy cut look and that killer smile?
Murilo Endres
Also from Brazil, Murilo Endres is playing for the Men’s Volleyball. He is the male version of Leila Barros (for me). When you watch him hit the ball in front the net, the only thing you can say is, “Where did the ball go?”
Unbelievable! I play like Murilo Endres, by the way. Just kidding. And I want to play like him as well.
Murilo Endres played for the Men’s Volleyball for Brazil in 2008 Beijing Olympics. He also played during the 2012 London Olympics where he was awarded MVP. They won the silver medal for both games against the United States and Russia, respectively.
Daniel Radcliffe
Of course! I’m a huge fan. And who do you think I most fancy to meet and make friends with but the actor who played Harry Potter (with the British accent), Daniel Radcliffe? He played the leading role for all eight movies (because the seventh book was split into two parts), and he became the representation of the main character of J.K. Rowling’s books when I read them all.
Daniel Jacob Radcliffe, before bagging the Potter role, at the young age of ten, he appeared in a movie “David Copperfield”, a BBC mini-series, and “The Taylor of Panama” alongside Pierce Brosnan.
He’s also into the theater arts where he appeared full-frontal naked on “Equus”. He also starred on “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying”. When not on his Potter self, Daniel played the role of a young father in “The Black Woman” and as a gay college boy based on a true story, “Kill The Darlings”.
If ever there is a chance for me to choose the celebrities who I want to meet in person and shake hands with, and travel around the Philippines, it would be Daniel Radcliffe (and the rest of the Harry Potter cast!) Yehey!
