There are specific things that we always bring around in our bag wherever we go. Last month, there are quite a lot of stuff that I carry (or wear) almost all the time because I think they help me with what I do for work, for leisure, or for something else.
Moleskine And My Other Favorite Things
I want to share with you today my five favorite things from last month.
1) Moleskine Notebook And Roller Pen
If you can still remember from one of my blogging tips post on how to write and always update a blog, there is one basic technique that I have introduced to be able to do so. When you want to plan ahead on what you like to write, you need to jot down the topics. To do that, you need a durable pen and a trusty notebook.

A medium-sized notebook is sufficient for this need. You can buy one from your favorite school supplies store or from online shops like Lazada and Zalora. It doesn’t need to be expensive, but what I have now are a Moleskine notebook and a jotter pen.
Yes, I have mentioned earlier that it doesn’t need to be expensive. However, Moleskine a trusted brand for writing and I personally love it because it’s durable and small in size. The minimalistic black color is a plus for me as well.
There’s a Moleskine Bundle Pack available online. It includes a Moleskine Classic Hard Pocket Notebook and a 0.5mm Moleskine Classic Roller pen. For only ₱1,460.00 it’s already a bargain getting two things in one.
2) Kawayan Wooden Watch
I’m the type of person that even though my smartphone can already tell me the time, I am more comfortable looking for it on a watch. This Cebu-made Kawayan watch is sophisticated but not complicated. The face of the watch is glass and its body is made of wood. The straps are soft leather.
There are many designs to choose from. The design that I have is Red Maple and it costs ₱1,900.00 (currently on pre-order promo sale until September 10). You can check these watches on Kawayan Facebook Page.
If you fancy another brand that I can recommend you, wooden watches from Woodchuck are also available. It’s more on a pricey side, but the designs are amazing, too.
I can assure you that these watches can be worn anytime of the day, or any events you attend. They can also match up your outfit. That is why it’s on my list of one of my favorite things.
3) Divoom Bluetooth Speaker
Who doesn’t love music? When you’re on-the-go with friends on a road trip, hang on a rustic coffee shop, or by yourself on a cozy day after work, you will definitely love to have music with you. Aside from portable power banks, Bluetooth speakers are the next big thing.
The Divoom Bluetune Bluetooth Speaker is easy to carry. You can even clip it on your belt or at your bag while you pair your smartphone device to amplify your favorite music on Spotify. You can also receive incoming calls from your phone and use the Bluetooth speaker as your microphone and speaker at the same time.
The rugged look makes it perfect for travel or for outdoor activities. The built-in rechargeable battery can last up to 6-8 hours of playtime. The speaker is even surrounded by silicone rubber for added protection.
Currently on sale for only ₱840.00 (from ₱1,050.00 original price) at Lazada Philippines and it’s available in Red and White.
4) River Island + Piraso Bracelets and Harry Potter Necklaces
I love bracelets a lot. I always buy these “arm candies” as my fashion accessories. I am not the fashionable kind of person on clothes, but I make sure that when it comes to bracelets, I am definitely pulling off with my fashion sense with accessories.
The Skull Bracelet is from River Island, a fashion brand in London, UK. Since the time I’ve got the bracelet and used it the past few months, everyone is asking me where I’ve got it. I bought it at Zalora for a discounted price.

The beaded bracelet is from Piraso, a Cebu-based maker of fashion accessories for both men and women. The beads are made from carabao hooves and polished stones, which are totally brilliant and indigenous. The materials where these bracelets are made from is what attract me the most, and that is why I am recommending this to you and include them on my favorite things list.
They are currently having a display at Pop District Bazaar in Oakridge Pavillion (until September 4). For more amazing items, check Piraso on Instagram and you will be delighted by their designs.
Because I am a fan of Harry Potter and I love everything about it, I bought (separately) the Deathly Hallows and Harry Potter scar pendants from Zalora Philippines.
Shop at Zalora Philippines and use ZBAPQAWL promo code for a 15% discount.
5) “Endgame: The Calling” Book by James Frey
I am a bookworm. I love reading books and I also collect them. When I transferred from my hometown in General Santos to Cebu City, I secured all my book collection that I have both since high school and brought them all with me.
When I travel, I always make sure that I bring a book with me to read. I even do book giveaways on my blog and I wish you would check out my future posts for a book review and a raffle.
I am currently reading and trying to finish a book called, “Endgame: The Calling” by James Fray. The story is like Hunger Games with a rough touch of alien stories who have probably watched from the History channel.
It is very interesting because the story rotates within a group of children who were chosen and trained by the elders to represent their tribes to look for a certain Earth key. The second book, “Sky Key: An Endgame Novel” is already released.
I bought a copy of the Endgame book from Book Depository, an online bookstore based in Gloucester, UK. They offer free shipping worldwide.
What I love about the physical attribute of the books are their covers. They are metallic and shiny. The first Endgame book is in Gold; the second book in Red. Just imagine these colors in metallic color on your hardback books. They are definitely very attractive to look at.
